Love your neighbor.

COVID-19 Update:

COVID-19 is requiring us all to adjust our normal volunteer process, but is presenting us with new ways to serve our neighbors. In some ways we've always been able to serve, and in ways we don't quite have a clear picture.

We must all immediately change our practices for the good of ourselves and our neighbors. Our mission has to be done first out of love to our recipients and not place them in any more danger in which they otherwise would be apart from our intervention/assistance.

Volunteerism Changes and Recommendations

Groups of less than ten people can meet together with minimal risk, provided that:

  1. No one present is sick or has any reason to think they have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2.
  2. Comply with State and Local regulations and recommendations to wear face coverings in most public settings, including public indoor spaces and outdoor spaces when it's not possible to socially distance. Exceptions to this include medical purposes, strenuous physical activity, and eating or drinking.
  3. Change your greetings by eliminating or reducing your physical touch for the time being.
  4. Shared surfaces (tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) are disinfected before and after the project.
  5. Everyone washes their hands thoroughly (more than 20 seconds) upon arrival and upon returning to your home or on the project.
  6. Food and drink are served individually.
  7. As much distance as possible is maintained between members of different households and their belongings.
